FAQs

1. Are your chassis legal?

Short answer, yes. Long answer, the P320 Chassis we produce are legal federally. There is no law or ATF rule on the books at time of writing that says you are not allowed to put your Sig Sauer P320 into a different grip module, that happens to have attachment points for other accessories.

2. Are pistol braces legal?

Pistol braces are legal and not defined as stocks in the USA. There are currently multiple lawsuits challenging ATF’s current rule trying to redefine braces as stocks, three of which have been granted a preliminary injunction, which means the ATF cannot enforce the rule outlined here: https://www.atf.gov/rules-and-regulations/factoring-criteria-firearms-attached-stabilizing-braces

A pistol brace is not intended to be shouldered, and can be attached to your pistol so long as you follow your state specific laws.

This is not legal advice.

You are responsible to comply with all local, state, and federal laws.

3. Is the Ark New Jersey Legal?

New Jersey has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. We reached out to the New Jersey State Police Firearms Investigations Unit for confirmation that this system complies with their laws.

We are happy to say that the attachment itself is not regulated, and per this document, the attachment to a standard P320 would not make this a NJ Assault Weapon.

However, the Ark would be considered to have shroud that completely encircles the barrel, meaning this is the one and only feature you are allowed to have. Please keep this in mind when assembling your Ark.

This is not legal advice.

It is your responsibility to comply with all local, state, and federal laws.

4. What is the compatibility?

Currently, we are only compatible with the Sig Sauer P320 platform.

We have options for safety/no safety, different magazine size, and slide size to be compatible with the current setup you have today. A full size slide is 100% compatible with either a compact or full size grip.

We do not recommend utilizing a compact slide with the Ark. The end user assumes all risk and responsibility for damage if this is installed.

5. Will aftermarket magazines work?

We design all our grips based on the factory standard P320 magazine tolerances. We have seen this work with other magazines, but cannot guarantee they will work as the aftermarket can vary wildly.

We recommend using factory magazines.
